Energy is something that many people want be do not understand how it is created. If you learn to create it from within, you will be able to sustain that energy level in your life. When you turn to outside sources such as caffeine and sugar, you will find yourself going back time after time to try to sustain that level of energy in life. If you follow some of these principles in your life, you will be able to create the energy needed from within.
You can change your Energy output!
The emotional energy of the world is flat-lining. Distractions are causing daily issues with our lack of focus and frustrations of supplying the daily energy needed to perform at a level of high performance.
My energy level was very low and my stress level very high! Not a good combination with a family with heart issues! The demands of family and business were creating lack of sleep. I knew I had to make a change and I decided that day I was going to change the way I felt!
The second secret of the highest performing achievers is they master their body! Physiology is all about “Am I fully rested and hydrated?”
Am I sleeping, eating, exercising, hydrating, gesturing, and speaking with passion to have the energy I deserve?”
My journey started when I decided to hire a personal trainer to help me on my path to better health and fitness. I started a regular exercise program and tracked my progress daily.
Every Monday was weigh in day and I documented my weight on my tracking sheet. If I had a week I increased my weight, I made sure the following week that I changed my eating habits. I never bought into the concept of dieting, instead I decided to call it a lifestyle change for my eating regime. I changed the consumption of food intake and drank more water and less carbonated drinks.
Guess what happened? In less than eleven months I lost 75 lbs.! How did this happen? It was by a daily, weekly, and monthly change in habits. Slow and steady wins the race. I realized it did not take long to change if I was disciplined to follow the plan. It took me over 15 years to put on the weight but less than 11 months to take it off!
Where does our energy come from? It comes from inside of us, a mentor of mine Brendon Burchard sums it up best with this quote: “The power plant doesn’t have energy, it generates it.” Let me share with you some additional habits you can implement to increase your energy. Rest and exercise is the number one action you can take.
You must exercise three to four times per week, at a minimum of 30 minutes each session. All the professional advice recommends seven to nine hours per night. This allows your body to recover from the day. Be sure to walk outside 30 minutes to add vitamin D in your daily routine and if possible mediate each day for twenty minutes.
-Take a multivitamin as well a Vitamin D and Omega 3 fish oils.
-Drink your healthy shake for breakfast and snacks.
-Drink half your body weight in ounces of water and minimize your sugary drinks.
-Limit your alcohol use or get rid of it all together and limit your caffeine intake.
Let me share some daily energizing tips also. Every fifty minutes stand up, move and stretch. Focus on speaking and gesturing with passion. When possible stay standing instead of sitting all the time. Make people smile and laugh more often. You have heard the saying it takes less muscles to smile than it does to grin. Let’s try it…Come on you can do it smile at me…
Remember to be present in all your daily conversations.
