Jeff Raver

Jeff Raver is a John Maxwell Certified National Sales and Leadership Coach, motivational speaker, as well as the founder and president of Begin To Win. Jeff previously held the position of Director of Training for over 20 years, as well as the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, at CVS Systems, a national electronics distributor. He recently spent 2 1/2 years growing an electronics retail company from a small start-up to one of the fastest-growing Dish retailers in the Midwest. As Vice President of American Wireless Entertainment, Jeff was responsible for hiring managers and salespeople, as well as opening 6 locations in a year and a half. He has experience in every aspect of the sales business and knows the process very well. Please help me welcome Jeff Raver.

  • Jeff grew up in Indiana but currently lives in Florida.
  • He loves to be outside.
  • Loves that he can train people all over the world without leaving Florida.
  • The best part of being a grandparent is seeing your child become a parent.
  • The habit that has led to his success is never having a fear of change.
    • It allows him to get up every day with a positive attitude rather than fearing what can happen.

      • He wants to help people.

  • The 80/20 Rule of sales says that 80% of your sales come from 20% of your salespeople.
    • He could see it in the work that he did so he started studying that 20%.
    • Jeff always searched for why that is?
    • Studied to the top 20%.
      • Looked to see what they did differently.
      • Took what they did and duplicated it so that everyone else could learn better.
  • He encourages people to have a sales process.
    • Create predictable repeatable results.
  • Young people typically hate the word scripts so he uses “prepared presentations”
    • You learn to transfer the person’s needs.
  • Objections are a big part of sales.
    • You need to learn how to handle the objections
    • You need to know what to say
  • People told him he was nuts for leaving his high-paying job to start his own business, but it was where he found his “Why?”
  • Business owners need to:
    • Figure out a plan
    • Look at the budget and cut it in half
    • Learn to not coast
  • He learned the difference between a leader and a boss.
  • He teaches the employees’ sales training and management leadership training.
  • “Leadership is influence. Nothing more, nothing less.”
